"Do What Works For You
We at White Wolf often call this proviso 'the golden rule.' Your game may have
special circumstances that require a few extra bells and whistles to the rules, or your
troupe may find a way to handle something that works better for you. So long as
people are having fun, go ahead and run with it - it’s your game."
Laws of the Night: Revised, page 14
The next time I hear "But the Book Says..." I'm going to scream. This thread and its edits, replies, and addenda will contain the myriad house rules employed in this game. I could sit here and write a 10k word post and probably still miss something. I may in the future, point to the above quote from Laws of the Night and tell some rules-lawyer to bite me.
One little thing here: some house rules from other games have come into assumption here but are not in effect. I will also address those. And away we go, starting with things that have popped up in game play.

- Might does not cancel Might. Might is the last retest of a challenge, however, each participant with Might has the right to use it in an appropriate challenge. Note: Any challenge in which you initially bid a Dexterity-related trait, is not an appropriate time to use Might.
- Eyes of Chaos has all of the effects in the book: inability to be surprised, ability to learn another character's Nature, and the following. Using Eyes of Chaos with a series of mental challenges against an ST, retesting with Enigmas, a character may be able to unfold the patterns and connections of plot-related mysteries. Also, Eyes of Chaos allows a single retest per night (much the way Oracular Ability does).
- Learning an out-of-clan discipline requires a teacher for each level. This teacher must have at least one level of the discipline higher than the one being taught. In addition, the student must have IN HIS SYSTEM, at least one trait of blood from a clan that has the discipline in-clan. Remember, blood is first in, first out. If you once drank from a Nosferatu and learned a level of Potence, and then come back a month later to learn another, so sorry, you have to drink again.
THERE WILL BE MORE POSTED LATER!
